Trunk Club was a first-of-its-kind personal styling based in Chicago, IL and and acquired by Nordstrom in 2014. I led men’s creative and copy for four years. Never felt like work.

Making Sense of Style
Challenge:
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

CHALLENGE
As Trunk Club gained awareness and expanded into new markets, we began to notice a drop in conversion as less-informed leads entered the funnel.
SOLUTION
I partnered with internal and external UX designers to conduct user research interviews and redesigned Trunk Club’s homepage. This initiative resulted in a 25% increase in revenue per visit and a 20% increase in conversion rate.
Video
We produced several videos during my time at Trunk Club, from short-form social ads to long-form marketing content. Here are a few examples.
Trunk Club needed an in-depth “How it Works” video in order to better promote its service and successfully onboard customers. We produced this video with assistance from an external production studio. My responsibilities included narrative direction, sourcing user-generated content, conducting interviews, and editing.
To launch the Making Sense of Style campaign, we produced several short-form videos for social and programmatic marketing. The campaign was developed in-house and I successfully partnered with an external agency to produce these videos.
Direct Mail
We always looked for unique and compelling ways to tell the Trunk Club story and how our service enriched the lives of our members. Here’s a look at one of my favorites.
